5 Tips for Keeping Your Skin Smooth and Hydrated

Proper hydration is the key to creating soft, smooth, and flawless skin. Add these five tips to your skincare routine to keep your skin smooth and hydrated.

1. Avoid Hot Showers and Baths

Hot showers and baths strip your skin of healthy, natural oils that hydrate your cells. If you take lava-hot showers and baths every day, you probably struggle with dry skin as a result. While an occasional hot bath or shower is acceptable, you should use warm or cool water most of the time.

2. Use Gentle Soaps or Cleansers

Certain soaps and cleansers can dry out your skin too much, causing irritation, flaking, bumps, uneven tones, and acne. If you notice that your dry skin worsens when you use a particular soap or cleanser, it’s time to switch to a gentler option.
