How long will the effect of the treatment last?
The results of Plasma Pen treatments are permanent and may be visible for years. But we should acknowledge that the aging process is continuous and thus the skin aging everyday after the procedure cannot be stopped. Some facial lines may recur quickly with time because muscles are stronger than the skin and this will vary based on age and other factors.
The positive effects of Plasma Pen treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, with the final results visible after eight weeks.
For some individuals, additional treatments may be required after eight weeks for maximum results. Additionally, remember that your lifestyle can greatly impact skin health, especially smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure, so please take those things into consideration to help preserve your beautiful skin.
Is Plasma Pen treatment safe?
The treatment is very safe and is a non-surgical procedure. It has a negligible amount of possible side effects or serious complications alike. The procedure is based on encouraging the body’s natural stimulation of skin regeneration.
The Plasma Pen treatment aftercare is important to follow to avoid any hyperpigmentation or scarring that could occur if the skin is not properly maintained, cleaned, and hydrated while healing.
Are there any possible side effects of Plasma Pen?
Treatments are exceptionally safe procedures with virtually no side effects or they occur very rarely. Possible side effects are inflammation, scarring, or minor change in skin pigmentation, which is very rare. It is highly important for each client to follow the instructions for aftercare closely. Crusts that occur after the treatment are part of the treatment and will fall off after 4–10 days. Swelling after treating the area around the eyes is normal and will disappear after 3–5 days, depending on the client’s sensitivity.
May I use makeup after the Plasma Pen treatment?
Please do not use makeup after the treatment for the first week, as we want to maintain a sterile environment for the skin to heal completely. For the first 5–6 days after the treatment (or until the crusts fall off), use the antiseptic product and the aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary, but note that the cream the therapist gives you contains skin powder that helps cover the crust and the blush.
Are the results visible immediately after the treatment?
The results are visible immediately after the treatment, but you continue to see better results up to 8 weeks after the treatment. Then results last around two years.
Is the procedure painful?
Plasma Pen is a non-invasive procedure with a mild level of pain, however, we make sure that the treated area is numbed before the treatment begins.
After the Plasma Pen treatment, the treated area might appear slightly reddish and some patients may experience some swelling (generally only for areas around the eyes).
At the site of each spot, a small crust will form. They should not be touched and you should wait for 5-7 days for them to fall off naturally.
How many treatments are required for a perfect result?
Usually, Plasma Pen is a 2 session treatment for maximum effect.
